Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana underwent a minor surgery in a private hospital here wherein the doctors removed a plastic ring that the minister swallowed unwittingly along with water.
The incident occurred on Friday where the minister unwittingly swallowed a plastic ring while drinking water during the inspection of a track at Chuttugunta Centre. Later in the evening, he experienced breathing difficulty and discomfort. Immediately he was rushed to a private hospital where doctors found out the presence of a plastic ring in the abdomen.
The minster was discharged later after the plastic ring was removed through a minor surgery in the abdomen. He has been advised rest for one week.
