Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Monday slammed those opposing the formation of Telangana State.
Talking to reporters here, Palvai described Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal as a contractor, and not a politician. He said that Rajagopal was a "joker" and was opposing the statehood for the region for personal gains.
Palvai also defended the Congress party and said that it would soon take a favourable decision on Telangana. However, he said that the Congress party would be at loss if it fails to take a decision soon. He also dismissed the criticism of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Congress party and said that KCR was worried about the future of his party if the Congress party announced Telangana State.
