Hyderabad,Nov 11:Praja Rajyam party (PRP) has resolved to give a befitting fight to the Telugu Desam Party and Congress in the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections scheduled for Nov 23, claimed actor-turned-politician and PRP supremo K Chiranjeevi here on Wednesday.The PRP leader,who administered the oath of allegiance to the 64 party nomineees for the GHMC elections, at the party office in the day,said the party would uphold its 'social justice' ethics in this elections too.He said the party has allocated 40 tickets to backward class candidates for the GHMC polls by adhering to the basic tenets of social justice.
The government has failed to provide basic amenities to the people and failed to curb spiraling prices of essential commodities,he regretted. He also advised the contestants and the cadre to follow the party guidelines and suggestions of seniors while campaigning and work for the winning chances of the candidates.He asked the contestants to launch a vigorous campaign by meeting people door-to-door,briefing them about party schemes and promises,and by focusing on division-wise problems in the GHMC elections.He also directed the contestants to explain to the people how the party wants to resolve the civic issues post GHMC elections.
