An engineering student of Osmania University committed suicide on Saturday apparently due to the frustration over delay in the formation of Telangana State.
The deceased, identified as Bandaru Srinivas, was found hanging from a tree opposite the library building in the OU campus. Srinivas hailed from Mahabubnagar district. Police reportedly found a suicide note wherein he stated that he was depressed due to the delay in formation of Telangana State.
The OU Police later shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary where an autopsy was conducted.
TPJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram, BJP State President G Kishan Reddy, TNGO leader Srinivas Goud and some other leaders visited the hospital to pay their last respects to Srinivas.
