Labour Minister Danam Nagender on Saturday appealed to the Congress MPs to reconsider their decision of leaving the party to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Talking to reporters after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here, Danam said that the Congress party was seriously working to find an amicable solution of Telangana issue. He said several rounds of negotiations were also held with concerned leaders. Therefore, the Congress MPs could take a final decision, only if the Congress party takes a negative stand on formation of Telagnana State. He also claimed that the Congress Working Committee might discuss the Telangana issue during its next meeting.
Danam also ridiculed the statement of TRS MLA T Harish Rao offering his party's merger with the Telugu Desam Party if it agrees to three conditions. He said the merger of a sub-regional party (TRS) with a regional party (TDP) could not achieve statehood for Telangana region.
