In a significant development, two senior ministers today met PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana in the back drop of dissent over Chief Minister launching welfare schemes unilaterally.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ministers K Jana Reddy, DL Ravindra Reddy and Vatti Vasantha Kumar were closeted with the state Congress President.
Damodar Rajanarsimha distanced himself from the official programme attended by Chef Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his home district Medak. He skipped the function and left for Colombo.
Botsa Satyanarayana himself openly expressed ignorance about the welfare scheme launched by Chief Minister while DL Ravindra Reddy and K Jana Reddy were vocal about the Bangaru Thalli scheme that would benefit girl child.
The dissent between the PCC President and Chief Minister has been in the open since the ACB raids on liquor shops. DL Ravindra Reddy has been a known critic of Kiran Kumar Reddy and had given dissent note when the cabinet decided not to prosecute Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Ro in the Vanpic case.
The wedge between Chief Minister and his Deputy has been growing which was the reason why he was separately called by the Congress High Command to discuss about the state affairs.
It remains to be seen what will be the outcome of this meeting and what the action plan would be, if at all there would be one.
