After being forcibly shifted to NIMS Hospital last night, the YSRCP legislators including Honorary President YS Vijayamma ended their fast on Sunday.
The YSRCP MLAs and MLCs were forcibly shifted from the hunger strike camp at New MLA Quarters to NIMS at around 12.30 AM by the police. According to police, forcible eviction was necessitated as the health of some leaders, who were fasting for the last five days, started deteriorating. However, the MLAs and MLCs continued their fast and refused treatment at the hospital. They demanded that the government concede their demands to end their fast.
Later, Senior journalist Potturi Venkateswara Rao and Venkata Ramaiah, a farmer from Railway Koduru of Kadapa district, offered lime juice to the fasting legislators to end their fast.
