AICC Secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Thursday demanded that the State Government order an enquiry into the illegal mining in Bayaram of Khammam district.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Ponguleti informed that he wrote a letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy seeking enquiry into the allegations of illegal mining in Bayaram. He said that the lands belong to Girijans and all sorts of illegal mining should be stopped by government.
Ponguleti also condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party for projecting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate. He said that the claims of development in Gujarat were just hype. Almost 17 districts, including the native district of Modi, in Gujarat were facing severe drought conditions and Modi Government was not unable to provide even drinking water in those affected districts.
The AICC Secretary said that the BJP was wasting money on publicity to boost the image of Narendra Modi.
