The YSR Congress Party has decided to organize a tour of its MLAs in some key assembly constitutions in the state to assess the quantum of acreage that suffered withering of crops due to the longer hours of power cuts.
Revealing this to reporters here on Tuesday, YSRCP MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy said they have decided to undertake the tour to show the Government how the crops have dried up in the absence of proper power supply.
“Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy said not even a single acre crop has withered due to unscheduled power cuts. We will show how he is wrong on his statement,” he said.
Ramachandra Reddy said all MLAs of the party will visit the agricultural lands in the constituencies of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha, Speaker Nadendla Manohar and Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to assess the losses and highlight the plight of the farmers in their constituencies.
Reacting to Kiran Kumar Reddy’s announcement on Indiramma Bata, he said the CM has been conducting Congress party activists’ meetings in the name of Indiramma Bata programmes. ‘Public issues are not discussed in the Indiramma Bata, only party programmes are talked about there,’ Ramachandra Reddy observed.
