The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday decided to remain neutral in the MLC elections.
Talking to reporters at Assembly media point, BJP State Unit president G Kishan Reddy said that the BJP's Core Committee which met here on Monday has decided to remain neutral in the MLC elections. Since the BJP has only three MLAs, it will not be able to contest the elections on its own, he said.
Kishan Reddy said that since no party has approached it seeking support, the party will remain neutral, he said. Last time, the BJP has supported the Telangana Rashtra Samithi after it sought its support.
BJP National Secretary Dr K Lakshman was also present.
