Former minister JC Diwakar Reddy on Thursday condemned the Telangana Congress leaders for criticising the Congress High Command for delay in announcing the decision on the statehood issue.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Diwakar Reddy said that the High Command has only delayed the decision and did not take any unfavourable decision on the statehood issue. However, he said it was wrong to target the High Command just for delaying the decision.
Diwakar Reddy alleged that irresponsible statements of a few Telangana leaders were provoking the youth to commit suicide. However, he welcomed the statement of Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and announced that Seemandhra leaders would continue their struggle to keep the State united. He also condemned the criticism on Seemandhra leaders by pro-Telangana groups and said that they have every right to think about the stability, growth and development of united Andhra Pradesh.
