TPJAC appeals SA leaders to withdraw meeting

The Telangana Political JAC has appealed to the Seemandhra leaders to withdraw their proposed meeting in the city on January 17.

"It is not fair to hold a meeting at a time when a positive decision is coming on Telangana," JAC convener Prof M Kodandaram said adding that the meeting was only to stall the separate state process. He discussed about the meeting with senior Congress leader K Kesav Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy.

The JAC leaders appealed to the State Government to ask the Seemandhra leaders to withdraw the proposed meeting. He sought the help of all political parties in this regard.

Meanwhile, Minister S Sailajanath said that holding a meeting was a symbol of freedom of expression and no one could stall the meeting. He appealed to all Congress leaders to attend the meeting. Another minister Manikya Vara Prasad said that he would abide by the decision of the High Command.
