The Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association on Friday threatened to launch another strike on the lines of "Sakala Janula Samme" if the Centre fails to announce a favourable decision on Telangana.
Talking to reporters here, TNGO Association president Srinivas Goud said that next time the strike would be much longer and would extend over 100 days. Last time, the general strike was held for 42-days.
TNGOs president Devi Prasad and Telangana Employees Union president Vithal were also present.
Earlier, they released a book titled "Sakala Janula Samme", a compilation of several articles that appeared during the 42-day long general strike demanding separate Telangana. The book has been jointly published by Namasthe Telangana editor Allam Narayana and TNGOs Union president Devi Prasad. The book compiled by Telangana Rachayithala Vedika president Juloori Gouri Shanker and Ranga Reddy district TNGOs’ union president K Rajender Reddy, is aimed at creating awareness among the people about the sacrifices made by the people for separate Telangana State.
Juloori Gouri Shanker said that a book on Telangana March and the present events would also be released in the near future. “Namasthe Telangana” editor Allam Narayana suggested that similar books should be published to strengthen the cause of Telangana.
They also informed that Telangana Sahitya Bheri will be organised at the AV College in the city on January 24.
