No threat to PCC chief’s post : DS

Hyderabad,Oct27: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee  chief D Srinivas  who  is  in Delhi   to  hold   consultation  with the  senior congress  leaders  is  confident that he will continue as the PCC chief  for another  three years.In view of  the  reports  that appeared in a  section of the  media that  Jaganmohan Reddy, MP from  Kadapa  will be made the chief  of  APCC, Srinivas flew to Delhi  to   clarify his  position as  the   APCC  chief from the  senior Congress leaders.Dispelling   fears  about his position as  party chief in Andhra Pradesh  he  said  he  would  continue  in that  post for another three years. ``In case  the High Command asks  me  to tender   my  resignation  I  will bide by  the High Command’s  decision,’’ he said.Srinivas will address the media  today  after  having  consultation  with finance minister Pranab Mukherjee ,  senior  Congress leader   Oscar  Fernandez,  Veerappa Moily and Ahmed Patel.

He  is  also likely  to  have talks  with party  president Sonia Gandhi  if she  gives  the appointment.Botsa  for  Delhi Meanwhile  as a part of  his strategy to strengthen his  group  among  the  Congress legislators in the state, he  called on Botsa Satyanaraya, Panchyat Raj  minister  from Northern  Andhra    to Delhi on Tuesday.Responding  to PCC  chief’s  cal  Botsa left  for  Delhi  on Tuesday  morning.  Botsa  has  a following of 15   MLAs  of  Nothern  Andhra  behind  him.During   his stay in Delhi, Botsa  apart from  meeting  the  senior  Congress leaders will have  talks  with  Kesava Rao member of  Congress Working  committee.
