Minister for School education S Sailajanath on Saturday took serious note on Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakhar's statement that N Kiran Kumar Reddy has no moral right to continue on the Chief Minister’s post.
Talking to media persons, Sailajanath condemned the MP's remarks and said that his comments on the Chief Minister did not suit his stature. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy was appointed with the blessings of Congress president Sonia Gandhi only.
Responding on the Telangana March, he said that the government gave permission to March following written assurance given by the TPJAC leaders that they would organize March peacefully. He also denied reports that the Central government would take a decision on Telangana statehood issue soon. He said that he did not find any signs of Central leaders immediately resolving the Telangana statehood issue in New Delhi.
Sailajanath said that there was no need to chalk out strategy as the agitation was strong in Seemandhra opposing the division of the State.
