Chandrababu Naidu can fill leadership vacuum, says Gali

Stating that Andhra Pradesh was facing the leadership crisis, TDP deputy floor leader Gali Muddu Krishnamma Naidu claimed that his party's president Nara Chandrababu Naidu could fill the vaccum.

Talking to media persons in TDLP Mr. Muddu Krishnamma Naidu said that State’s natural resources were not being fully utilised due to the leadership crisis in the State. The existence of a strong leader would ensure that the natural resources of the State were not exploited by others. He alleged that the government has failed to make optimum utilisation of its gas reserves even at a time when the State was reeling under severe power crisis.

Muddukrishna Naidu pointed out that gas resources should be used by the mother state first and then the surplus quantum could be supplied to other States. However, this was not done in the case of KG Basin due to the non-existence of a strong leader in the ruling Congress party. Reacting on the restoration of gas supply to the Andhra Pradesh, he said that it was not an achievement. Instead, he said that the State should have got a major share of gas allocation from the Centre.
