Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday slammed vested interests of repeated attempts to malign and defame him by leveling baseless charges.
Addressing media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Naidu said that his opponents are now hoisting a conman and criminal Kola Krishnamohan to throw slur and mud on his political image. He said Kola Krishna Mohan had tried to con the Telugu Desam by offering a party fund and also wanting a party ticket.
However immediately after his true nature was revealed in the CID probe of his euro lottery scam, the Rs10 lakhs donation by him was deposited in the city court hearing his case.
“What a shame that a Telugu newspaper is accusing me of proximity to a person, who was convicted by law during my regime itself.” Naidu said.
Naidu said that all the names mentioned in newspaper of having bank accounts in Mauritius and belonging to Naravaripalli and Pullavaripalli are ` fake.’
Excepting the name of one girl, who is just an ordinary housewife, all others don't exist and the Sakshi newspaper had interviewed people in the village for a survey and now has used their names for its mud slinging game, he said.
"All this slander might give temporary publicity and relief to them from the law but they have to keep one thing in mind that even several probes, commissions and criminal proceedings by YSR had failed to throw any mud on my 30-year-long political career " he said.
“They forged signature on 'Big boss' which was proved fake in forensic tests. On Krishnamohan charge of an murder attempt, I am writing to DGP for a full fledged probe and also security escort to him,” he said
He challenged the newspaper to bring out all the evidences against the charges they have made. it is a shame that they were also making all attempts to malign the character of my son Lokesh and unnecessarily dragging him into petty politics.
Naidu said he was compelled to come out to respond to all of their malicious and defamatory campaign against me as it was my duty to inform the people of the true facts, lest they believe in all pack of lies and untruths.
Cautioning the publishers of the derogatory and abusive news about himself and his family, TDP president said that he would not take everything sitting idle.
If there was any proof of his Singapore bank accounts the same could be sent to the investigative agencies, Naidu said.
