The CBI special court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing to June 21 on CBI's petition seeking permission to conduct Polygraph, Narco and BEAP (Brain Electrical Activation profile) tests on YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The court adjourned the hearing as Jagan's counsel raised serious objection for conducting Narco test on his client. He contended that forcible use of narco-analysis, polygraph and BEAP is illegal, inhuman and degrading. After hearing the arguments and counter arguments, the special court adjourned the petition for further hearing on June 21.
The CBI counsel sought permission to subject Jagan to Narco and other tests as he was not at all cooperative and reluctant to reveal anything despite persistent questioning about his assets. “Jagan did not reveal any tangible information about the chain of transactions (of the deals that he had struck), the individuals involved and the overseas accounts," the counsel said.
The CBI counsel observed that Jagan was cleverly derailing the investigation process by saying that it was Vijay Sai Reddy who "is in the know how of most of the transactions, documents and information."
