TDP accuses CM of having links with Jagan's corruption

Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao on Saturday suspected the involvement of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the corruption of YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Talking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Veerabhadra Rao asked the State Government to explain as to why it was not initiating civil action against Jagan Mohan Reddy despite the Central Bureau of Investigation launching criminal proceedings against him. He also asked as to why the government has not scrapped the permits given for the projects of Jagan Mohan Reddy despite the CBI unearthing several irregularities. "Since Kiran Kumar Reddy himself is involved in Jagan's corruption, he is not initiating action against him," he alleged.

Responding on the arrest of former Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao in Jagan's assets case, he said that a Backward Classes minister has become scapegoat in the entire episode. While extending support to Mopidevi, he said that the Chief Minister and other ministers were making efforts to influence the CBI probe. He advised the Chief Minister to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court on behalf of the State Government in connection with the notices served for issuing of 26 controversial GOs favouring Jagan.
