Jagan trying to destabilise KKR Govt: Congress

Government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Saturday accused YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy of trying to destablise the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government by luring Congress MLAs using money power.

However, he claimed that there was no threat to Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in the State. Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office, the Chief Whip stated that the exit of two-three MLAs does not pose any threat to the continuance of the Congress Government. He said that the YSRC's political gimmicks would not yield any result and the government being led by Kiran Kumar Reddy would remain in power till 2014.

Venkata Ramana Reddy alleged that a section of leaders were making efforts to collect hundreds of crores of rupees using former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s name.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Kondru Murali Mohan criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy of targeting Congress party instead of countering charges against him in the CBI investigations. He said that Jagan has no moral right to speak against the ruling Congress as he looted thousands of crores belonging to the State's exchequer.

Stating that Congress was a national party, he said that no one could damage Congress party anytime. He said that YSR Congress party would be wiped out from the State once the results of by-elections are announced on June 15. He described the YSRC as a 'sinking ship'.
