As a politician, Chiranjeevi might have attended many political public meets. However, as a member of Rajya Sabha, Chiranjeevi attended as a Chief Guest at one public meet which was held in Kakinada city on 28th April. Though this function was primarily meant for the swearing in program of Dommeti Venkateswarlu as the DCC president, it has turned out to be a by-election campaigning program.
Meanwhile, huge turn up was seen at the Anand Bharathi grounds, where the function was held. People were surprised to see that crowd as they have not witnessed this much gathering in the recent past to any public meets. Talking to the media, Chiranjeevi told he is going to take the responsibilities of the campaigning in five constituencies in the by-polls and they are, Ramachandrapuram, Narsapuram, Payakarao Peta, Allagadda and his old constituency, Tirupathi.
