Describing the demand for removing N Kiran Kumar Reddy from the Chief Minister’s posts as a day-dream, Minor Irrigation Minister TG Venkatesh ruled out the possibility of a change of guard in the State.
Talking to reporters in the State Secretariat on Thursday, Venkatesh said that there were no chances of removing Kiran Kumar Reddy from the top post. He said Kiran Kumar Reddy has been performing well to ensure overall development of the State. Besides plugging the loopholes in the welfare schemes started by former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Kiran Kumar has been effectively implementing the new schemes that he launched.
Venkatesh said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has changed the Congress culture of frequently changing the Chief Ministers. He said that former Chief Minister K Rosaiah himself resigned from the post due to health reasons. He said there was no possibility of Congress High Command replacing the Chief Minister and no leader in the State was in the race for the top post.
