TDP leaders T Devender Goud and CM Ramesh, who have been nominated as Telugu Desam Party candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, promised that they would raise the State-related problems in the Parliament after their election.
Talking to reporters at Assembly Media Point after filing their nominations here on Monday, Devender Goud expressed gratitude towards TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for considering his candidature for the Rajya Sabha seat. He assured that he would try his best to perform to the expectations of his party chief and the people of the State. He said he would raised the State-related issue in the Rajya Sabha and would try to be a true representative of the people.
CM Ramesh thanked Chandrababu Naidu for recognising his services for the party and rewarding him with a Rajya Sabha seat. He said although he was young, he would work hard to strengthen the party at the grass-root level. He said, after his election as a member of the Upper House, he would represent the problems being faced by the people in the State in the Parliament.
Earlier, Goud and Ramesh went to NTR Ghat from party office and after paying homage to party founder NT Rama Rao at his Samadhi, filed their nominations in the State Legislative Assembly premises.
