The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on bail petition of suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, an accused in the illegal mining scam, to April 2.
The apex court while posting the bail petition of Srilakshmi, directed the CBI to file charge-sheet in connection with the case before it by March 31. Earlier, the CBI said that it would file supplementary charge sheet against Srilakshmi before March 31.
Presently, Srilakshmi is lodged in the Chanchalguda Women’s Prison after her bail granted by the Special CBI Court was quashed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Srilakshmi was arrested by the CBI on November 28 last year in the illegal mining case of Obulapuram Mining Corporation.
