Hyderabad,Oct 13: With Jaganmohan Reddy, MP from Kadapa back in Hyderabad, the leadership issue in Andhra Pradesh is back to the fore and loyalists of Jagan met him at the CM’s Camp Office for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.Among the minister who called on him on Tuesday were Manikya Varaprasad and Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, who had been openly canvassing for him as the candidate for chief minister. Apart from the ministers the others who called on Jagan include MPs, legislators, and Congress party leaders.Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, Minister for Municipal Administration interacting with the media said that there were no groups in the party at the moment.
Only we are placing our demand before the congress High Command to make Jagan as the Chief Minister and call for the meeting of CLP (Congress Legislature Party) to choose a new leader . It is for the High Command to decide.Most of the legislators in Jagans camp are unhappy over the statement made by Congress president D Srinivas that stone-pelting on Chief Minister K. Rosaiah's convoy in flood affected areas was pre-planned and a deliberate attack.
Manikya Varaprasad, one of the ministers in Jagan’s camp said that Rosaiah's convoy did not come under attack at any place when the CM visited the flood hit districts.On the other hand Congress Working Committee member K. Keshava Rao said there was no crisis in the party and that Rosaiah is the CLP leader.Expressing his view on the issue of leadership in AP , former minister and legislator J.C. Diwakar Reddy said every legislator has his own opinion on the leadership issue.
