Hyderabad, July 22 :-
The Praja Rajyam Party has not taken any decision on tie-ups with other parties for the forthcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, stated actor-turned-politician and Praja Rajyam founder, Mr K Chiranjeevi, here on Wednesday.
Talking to media persons here, he said that the Praja Rajyam would take appropriate decision at appropriate time on tie-ups for GHMC elections. “The party is yet to take a decision on alliances,” he said.
The first list of Praja Rajyam party selected contesting candidates list would be announced within two days, he added. Winnability and popularity of candidate would be counted while selecting the candidates for GHMC elections, he pointed out.
The actor has decided not to tie up with TDP as it may not be good to join hands with N Chandrababu Naidu at this time. And Chiranjeevi does not want to play second fiddle to Naidu, as he considers Naidu is the most unreliable person.
However, Chiranjeevi wants to establish himself as a potential leader in the coming days to dictate terms to the other Opposition parties.
However, the PRP chief is in touch with Lokasatta president Jayaprakash Narayan and Communist Party of India state secretary Narayana and this alliance is likely to be confirmed within a couple of days.
