TDP Telangana Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Saturday stated that the TRS should learn lessons after the successful conduct of Rythu Padayatra by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in Palakurthy.
Talking to media persons, Dayakar Rao criticised TRS and Telangana Political JAC for opposing Naidu’s padayatra and held them responsible for causing law and order problem and forcible police arrests in the district.
Stating that Naidu’s padaytra received good response, he said, the people of region have come to the conference boldly to express their grievances despite stern warning issued by TRS to boycott the yatra.
He alleged that TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, in the name of agitation, was increasing his strength of MLAs in the region and resorting to selling them whenever needed. He challenged the TRS president to come up for public debate on Telangana development at any place.
“At least now the TRS should focus its attention on development of Telangana and people’s problems instead of focusing its attention on statehood agitation,” he stated.
Reiterating that TRS has no moral right to criticise the TDP, he alleged that TRS family members have been enjoying party posts at the cost of martyrs, who laid down their lives for the cause of statehood.
MLA Kadiam Srihari slammed JAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram for acting as an agent of TRS. He asked Kodandaram to quit his post if he was really committed to Telangana state formation and make collective efforts with all parties towards achieving separate statehood.
