As part of security measures, assembly staff will have a dress code from the ensuing budget session.
This was announced by Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar on Tuesday while addressing the staff at a New Year gathering.
“The dress code will be implemented to distinguish our staff from others during the assembly session and as part of security measures,” he told reporters after the get together. He said the dress code would come into effect from next assembly session.
“To prevent workload and as part of upgrading Speaker’s office, all files would be computerised in his chamber,” he said.
Technical training to staff will also be provided in connection with automation, he said. Responding to demand for regularising people working on temporary basis, the Speaker said that he would take a decision on it after convening a meeting with officials concerned.
