Internal Security Challanges Group chairman VK Duggal on Wednesday reviewed the security situation in Andhra Pradesh.
The former Home Secretary held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the State Government and other agencies to assess the security situation. The meeting was attended by Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy, Chief Security Pankaj Dwivedi, Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy, officials representing Coast Guard, Air Force and other security agencies. Later, Duggal told reporters that several issues related to internal security in the State including left-wing extremism and terrorism were discussed during the meeting. Duggal, along with his six-member team, is also learnt to have reviewed the functioning of Octopus in the State.
Earlier, Duggal called upon Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office at Begumpet.
