Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Wednesday demanded that Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram convene a round table conference with all-party leaders from the region to discuss on `Traitors of Telangana.’
Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Dayakar Rao said that the TDP would prove, with substantial proof, as to who mortgaged the interests of Telangana people and minted money in the name of statehood agitation. He asked Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao to explain what he has been done for the last 11 years to achieve Telangana state.
Accusing KCR of cheating people of region on statehood issue, Errabelli held him directly responsible for the death of more than 700 people. He asked KCR to apologise to the people of Telangana. He also slammed Prof Kodandaram for not acting as chairman of the JAC, but as an agent of TRS. He advised Prof Kodandaram to resign from his post and join as a TRS activist.
Errabelli warned TRS of serious consequences if it targets TDP in the Telangana region.
Another MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu accused KCR of being responsible for 700 suicides in the Telangana region. Instead of taking an all-party delegation, he asked KCR as to why he went alone to New Delhi and what secret pact he had with the Congress High Command over Telangana issue. He blamed KCR for the failure of general strike of employees in the region.
Stating that KCR did not hail from the Telangana region, he said the family members of KCR belonged to Vizianagaram district and settled in Telangana and accumulated wealth to the tune of Rs 50,000 crores in the name of statehood agitation. He asked KCR to pay compensation for the next of kin of those killed in the statehood agitation.
Earlier, the police arrested Motkupalli Narsimhulu and Errabelli Dayakar Rao at Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park. They were arrested after they went to Gun Park to observe two days deeksha in protest against the 'attitude' of TRS chief Chandrasekhar Rao towards TDP Telangana Forum members. They were later shifted to the Gandhi Nagar police station.
