Media creating rift between CM and ministers: Anam

Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy on Friday condemned reports that appeared in a section of media stating that some cabinet ministers were forced to leave the Jubilee Hall during the two-day District Collectors’ Conference.

Talking to media persons at his residence, Anam said that there was no truth in the reports and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy held discussion about the implementation of government schemes and programmes in the presence of ministers and District Collectors. He said that the media was unnecessarily trying to create a rift between the Ministers and Chief Minister to get mileage on the incident.

The Finance Minister also announced that municipal elections would be held before the starting of budget session of the assembly. He said that the elections for 98 municipalities would be held in first phase and 28 municipalities would be held in second phase. The local body elections would be held by June-July.
