Praja Rajyam MLA and supporter of YSR Congress, Shobha Nagi Reddy on Monday condemned the allegation that Telugu Desam and YSR Congress party had a `match fixing’ on the No Confidence Motion introduced against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in the assembly.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Shobha Nagi Reddy took serious note on the allegation and said that the agenda of both TDP and YSR Congress party was entirely different on the No Trust motion. "The TDP introduced motion as the government has failed on all fronts whereas, the YSR Congress is supporting it as the KKR government failed to implement welfare schemes and programmes of former chief minister YSR," she said.
Shobha Nagi Reddy said that the government has deputed Congress In-charge of State Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad, former government advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana to persuade the Jagan group. However, she said the Jagan group numbering 21 MLAs decided to vote in favour of No Trust Motion.
Responding to offering of packages and financial gifts to woo the MLAs of Jagan group, she said the MLAs would not be lured with such lucrative offers. “If we need packages, then we would have supported the government to get more sops. But our intention is different,” she pointed out.
Another MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy said that the Jagan group MLAs were ready to face by-elections if they were disqualified for violating the party whip. MLAs P Ravi and M Sucharitha were also present.
