Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced that his party would give 30 per cent of tickets in the next elections to youth.
Addressing the workshop of Telugu Yuvatha at NTR Trust Bhavan, Naidu said that the party would give importance to youth in the next elections. He said the party would also consider their nomination on important posts in the party. Describing the youth as the future of the party and also the State, he said the TDP would encourage the youth to enter politics to serve the people.
Speaking about YSR Congerss president and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TDP President said that while a majority of people in the State do not have even 80 square yards of land, but Jagan has been living a luxurious life in a palace-like home with 80 rooms. He said the money accumulated with illegal means do not last long and therefore, Jagan and all corrupt leaders would lose the money in a similar way.
Naidu criticised the Congress and other parties for targeting him although he made a clear declaration about assets and other sources of income. He also alleged that lot of irregularities in the Polavaram project tender process and demanded a thorough probe into the same.
