The Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members on Wednesday accused the Congress party of making the general strike of employees into a more complex issue.
Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan, Forum members Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Jaipal Yadav and Ramulu condemned the State Government for not properly responding on employees' strike although it entered 30th day on Wednesday causing lot of inconvenience to the general public.
They alleged that the Congress Core Committee has been intentionally delaying the decision on Telangana issue in the name of wider consultation process and seeking more time to address the most sensitive issue. They wondered over the silence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minster Dr Manmohan Singh despite the Telangana employees strike entering 30th day.
Demanding immediate introduction of bill on Telangana in the Parliament, the forum members said that they would stage dharnas in front of all District Collectorates across the region on October 18 to press for their demand. Stating that Telangana could be achieved only by creating constitutional crisis, they demanded the resignation of Telangana ministers from their posts.
