Telangana Nagara president Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Friday made it clear that he would not join any political party including Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Talking to media persons, Nagam said that he would continue his agitation until the Centre grants statehood for the Telangana region. Stating that the formation of Telangana was not possible with one party, he appealed to leaders of political parties to make joint efforts towards mounting pressure on the Centre to achieve their goal.
However, stating that Telangana state not possible with Telangana Rashtra Samithi, he predicted that TRS would merge in the Congress soon on the lines of Praja Rajyam Party.
“My prime goal is achieving Telangana state, the long-pending dream of people. The agitation is not the property of anyone. I will continue my fight till statehood is achieved,” he stated. "If people of region wish for establishing party, I will float a new party," he said.
Meanwhile, rumours are doing the rounds that Nagara members Jogu Ramanna and Venugopala Chary might join the TRS soon.
