CBI grills officials in Emaar case

The Central Bureau of Investigation’s probe into the Emaar Property deal has progressed further with the agency questioning various government officials and associate companies at its office on Monday.

According to sources, the CBI sleuths questioned the officials from Bank of India, Revathi Finance, Meenakshi Infra, Kakinada Port and United Bank of India. Following summons sent by the CBI, the officials of different companies appeared before the CBI for questioning. Sources say that the CBI questioned those firms with regard to their purchase of posh villas in Emaar Boulder Hills Township.

Earlier, the CBI sleuths grilled Vice-Chairman of Jagati Publications Vijai Sai Reddy for 12th consecutive day.

Meanwhile the Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on petition filed by Sandur Power Project of YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy to September 16. The apex court said that it would take up the petition along with Jagathi Publications and Emaar Properties cases on September 16.
