The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday shifted all the cash, gold and key documents seized from former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Corporation managing director B Srinivas Reddy premises in Bellary and Bangalore to Hyderabad.
The officials shifted Rs 3 crore cash and 30 Kg gold seized at Gali Janardhan residence in four suitcases to CBI office at Koti. Rs 1.5 crore cash and jewellery and other key documents seized at the residence of Srinivas Reddy were also brought to Koti office. The CBI officials used three vehicles for shifting all the seized properties to Hyderabad. The officials also shifted the records related to storage of iron ore at various ports.
According to sources, the seized documents contain vital information about the alleged illegal iron ore mining activities run by Gali and his associates. The officials continued their raids at Parijatha Apartment in Bangalore, the residence of Gali Janardhan Reddy’s wife. The officials also seized Gali’s cars worth around Rs 15 crore. The CBI officials also submitted a report on cash and key documents to Income Tax officials.
Meanwhile Rayadurgam MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy met Gali Janardhan Reddy at Chanchalguda Jail after taking special permission from the jail officials. After the meeting, he refused to speak to the media and left the place in a hurry.
According to sources, Ramachandra Reddy came to Chanchalguda Jail along with the brothers of Srinivasa Reddy and lawyers.
