When will Jagan & Vijayamma Resign?

Telugu Desam Party MLA Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday demanded that 26 Pro-Jagan Congress MLAs who submitted resignations apologies to the people for supporting an allegedly corrupt man who is also facing a CBI probe. Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Nageswara Rao wondered about Congress MLAs supporting a corrupt person, that too at a time, when the entire country is experiencing an anti-corruption wave.

Nageshwar Rao asked why Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother and Pulivendula MLA Y S Vijayamma did not submit resignations to protest inclusion of former chief minister YSR’s name in CBI’s FIR. “Is it not the responsibility of Jagan and Vijayamma to clear YSR’s name from FIR,” he asked. He said the Congress MLAs have no moral right to support Jagan, who was amassed assets worth crores of rupees illegally.

The TDP leader said his party would introduce no confidence motion against N Kiran Kumar Reddy government as he had lost majority in the House following resignation of his MLAs. However, he clarified that the TDP would not introduce No Confidence motion to gain political mileage on the issue. “The chief minister has no moral right to continue on his post until he proves his strength in the House,” he stated.
