Former minister and senior Telangana leader T Jeevan Reddy on Thursday urged Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to take a delegation of all party leaders to New Delhi to prevail upon Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to delete the controversial Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders.
Mr Jeevan Reddy was reacting to the news that Mr Chidambaram had telephonically informed the Chief Minister that he had forwarded the file pertaining to the issue to the Prime Minister’s Office. Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the former minister said that instead of pursuing the issue ‘telephonically’, the Chief Minister may do well to take an all-party delegation to New Delhi over the issue. “Why telephonic calls? He can go directly to New Delhi and prevail upon the Prime Minister and Home Minister instead of conversing on the telephone,” Mr Jeevan Reddy opined. The former minister further said that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy use his high office for resolving the issue as early as possible and help the Telangana people, who are anxious over the decision to conduct of Sub-Inspectors recruitment examination on August 13.
