BVR tells KCR to refrain from provocative remarks

Communist Party of India (Marxist) state secretary BV Raghavulu on Tuesday told Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao not to further vitiate the already surcharged atmosphere in the state by making statements that he would end life by consuming poison if the Centre fails to take a decision on Telangana state.

Talking to media persons here, Mr Raghavulu said that KCR’s remarks may possibly lead to the creation of a law and order situation in the state.

Advising KCR to shun making such provocative statements, the senior Communist leader appealed to people not to resort to suicides and agitate peacefully for the cause of statehood.

He termed the TRS chief’s statements as ‘untimely’ and `unwarranted,’ since they were made at a particularly sensitive time when Congress In-Charge of State Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad has been holding discussions with both the Seemandhra and Telangana leaders on the controversial bifurcation of state issue.

Mr Raghavulu also took serious note on Union Home Minister P Chidambaram seeking a fresh resolution in the state Assembly on the deletion of Clause 14F from the Presidential Order of 1975, which facilitates placing of Hyderabad in Sixth Zone for recruitments.

He alleged that the Centre, instead of solving the problems of the state, was complicating the situation and also remaining a mute spectator when thing were heating.
