Telangana Vimochana Samithi president and MLC Kapilvai Dilip Kumar on cautioned Congress leaders from Telangana not to fall into the trap being set by party In-Charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad.
“Mr Azad is trying to snare you into his trap and push through his ‘divide and rule’ policy. He is trying to split the Congress leaders from Telangana into splinter groups and then pit them against each other,” the MLC, who had earlier split from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to launch the TVS, told media persons at the Assembly Media Point on Saturday. The MLC continued, “The High Command will manipulate you (the Telangana Congress leaders) and manage to gain another three to four months time. Be warned. He will then claim that the final decision rests on Congress president Sonia Gandhi,” Mr Dilip Kumar said. The TVS leader also reminded all pro-Telangana leaders that their real strength lies in Telangana and not in New Delhi. “You should concentrate on the fight for Telangana by staying here and forcing the Centre to come here,” he said. “The Seemandhra leaders are claiming that it is they who developed Hyderabad into a megapolis. If they are so capable, then they can also develop satellite cities in Seemandhra regions. After all, they have claimed to have done so, and their self proclaimed experience will make it easier for them,” the MLC said.
