The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Saturday demanded that YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy to make it clear if he was willing to accept a decision in favour of separate Telangana state if announced by the Centre. Talking to media persons at the Telangana Bhavan, party leader T Harish Rao said that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy should clarify if the YSR Congress Party would accept any decision in favour of Telangana by the Centre.
“There is no difference between Mr Jaganmohan Reddy and other Seemandhra leaders like Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu or Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi. They are all experts at adopting an ambiguous stand publicly, while supporting the Samaikhya Andhra Pradesh agitation,” the TRS leader said.
“Take a courageous decision and prove that you are different from other Seemandhra leaders who are like cats on the wall, ready to jump on either side,” Mr Harish Rao told the YSR Congress Party president. Mr Harish Rao also demanded that TDP leaders from Telangana take immediate steps to get the party’s Seemandhra leaders stop their padayatra, taken out as part of the Samaikhya Andhra agitation.
“This is a dual stand by the TDP. One wing of the party is taking out a bus Yatra while the other wing is taking out a padayatra. If the TDP leaders from Telangana are sincere, they should get the Samaikhya Andhra padayatra stopped immediately,” the TRS leader said.
