Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Monday stated that resignations by the party Legislators from Telangana have proved their commitment towards the separate statehood cause.
Talking to media persons at Assembly premises, Mr Dayakar Rao said the resignation of TDP members has removed misconception prevailing among some sections of Telangana leaders that Telugu Desam Party is against formation of state. He asked these unnamed leaders to stop targeting and attacking the TDP MLAs ‘at least now’, and extend their cooperation to the party in its efforts towards forming the separate state. Mr Dayakar Rao added that the Telugu Desam Party would take the statehood agitation to grassroots level by organizing massive public meetings in Telangana districts. As part of intensifying agitation, party would organize massive public meetings on July 7 in Warangal, July 10 in Mahabubnagar district and July 12 in Nizamabad district and create awareness on importance of separate Telangana, the TDP leader said.
