Government Chief Whip Mallu Batti Vikramarka on Thursday regretted the YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy proposal that he would tie-up with the Bharatiya Janata Party if it agrees to provide 10 per cent reservation for Minority communities.
Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, the Government Chief Whip said Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s words were proof that Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas was correct in his assessment that the BJP had entered into a secret pact with the YSR Congress Party chief.
Condemning the allegations leveled by Mr Jaganmohan Reddy that the Congress had changed his words was accusing him of entering into an alliance with the BJP, Mr Vikramarka said that there was no need for the ruling party to interfere in the internal affairs of YSR Congress Party and the BJP.
“It is internal matter of the YSR Congress Party and BJP whether to have alliance or not after the by-elections,” the Whip said.
Mr Vikramarka added that even if Mr Jaganmohan Reddy ties-up with the BJP or lures the Muslim voters, the Congress candidates will win the by-polls.
