Former minister Pilli Subash Chandra Bose on Friday lashed out at the government for letting the fee reimbursement issue get out of hand by not taking prompt action on its own GO.
Speaking to media persons later at the Assembly Media Point, Mr Subhash Chandra Bose pointed out that former chief minister K Rosaiah had issued a GO which had instructed the Finance Department to immediately release funds meant for the fee reimbursement into the account.
The Finance Department was to release the money as soon as the funds released earlier were used up, according to the GO, which was issued soon after the demise of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, in the early days of the K Rosaiah government.
Mr Bose said that the government failed to ensure that the Finance Department had followed the directions of the GO, leaving the entire system in a mess.
The former minister claimed that the state government was rattled by the week-long Deeksha which was launched by former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday at Indira Partk on the fee reimbursement issue and was thus engaging in talks to solve the imbroglio.
