Telangana Telugu Desam Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday demanded an explanation from the Congress party for its proposed tie-up with the Praja Rajyam Party.
Talking to media person here, Mr Janardhan Reddy said that the people of Telangana needed an explanation from the Congress as to why it was looking for a political alliance with the PRP, which has adopted an avowedly Integrated Andhra Pradesh stance.
The separate statehood spearhead also demanded that the Congress should makes its stand on the Telangana issue clear before it formalizes any pact with the Praja Rajyam Party.
However, he said that the TDP has no objection if the Congress party wants to put a full stop to the activities of former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy through this alliance.
“The Congress-PRP alliance should not obstruct the Telangana state formation at any cost,” Mr Janardhan Reddy said.
The T TDPF convenor also demanded that the Centre announce its decision on Telangana state formation before the Budget Session of Parliament and asked it and the Congress party not to test the patience of Telangana leaders.
