Hyderabad, Sept 16 :
Inspector General of Police R Eshwar Reddy, looking after the security wing in Andhra Pradesh, died of a heart stroke in the early hours of Wednesday. A native of Kadapa district, Mr Reddy wrote several books on policing and on aspects relating to police department. Mr Reddy played a crucial role in the investigation into the chopper crash that killed the Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, as he was the Inspector General of Security wing.
He had returned from the crash site in Nallamala forest a day ago. He suffered a stroke on Tuesday night and was shifted to Yashoda hospital, where he died while being treated. His body will be shifted to Kadapa, his native district for cremation on Thursday.
