Congress Member of Legislative Council Yadav Reddy on Thursday lashed out against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for trying to sow doubts in the minds of people by predicting that both the Central and State governments will collapse.
Talking to media persons at CLP media point, Mr Yadav Reddy said that this statement was nothing but an attempt to mislead people. He criticized the TRS chief for attempting to create unrest among people and expressed confidence in the government’s ability to survive by saying that the Congress was ready to face any hardship.
Mr Yadav Reddy expressed his bewilderment at the ‘self-given ability of KCR to be able to make prophesies.’
Mr Yadav Reddy also described the statement purportedly made by Union Minister of State Pallam Raju that it was not proper on the part of the state government to lift cases against students who had resorted to vandalism, as ‘unfortunate’.
He said that if this was indeed Mr Pallam Raju’s point of view, he was not fit to be a member of the Union Cabinet. The MLC added that the state government had lifted the cases against students only after consulting the Union Home Ministry Secretary.
Answering a question the MLC stated that the gag orders were not received yet and added that he hoped that the Srikrishna Report would be in favour of a separate Telangana state.
Meanwhile, MLA Damodar Reddy also stated that he would respond to questions only after Srikrishna Committee Report is made public.
