Bharatiya Janata Party Floor Leader G Kishen Reddy on Wednesday criticised the Central government saying that the Srikrishna Committee was nothing but a 'time pass' committee.
Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr Kishen Reddy was categorical in mentioning that the Centre was trying to drag the issue again to gain time so that the actual problem would be out of public memory.
"The Committee will offer no benefits, instead it will create problems," the BJP leader said.
Mr Kishen Reddy was also critical about the curbs imposed on the media while reporting on the committee or the report.
It may be recalled that recently media persons were advised to exercise 'restraint' while dealing a report on the Srikrishna Panel and its Report.
The BJP state unit chief also highlighted the Home Guards' problems and urged the government to increase their daily wages from Rs 130 to Rs 300, provide uniforms, leave, bus pass facility and medical cover among others.
