Pro-T report will ensure golden letters for panel members' names: KTR

Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K Taraka Rama Rao on Thursday expressed optimism that the Justice BN Srikrishna Commission Report is favourable to the aspirations of people of Telangana region.

Talking to media persons after meeting the Justice Srikrishna Commission members at Lake View Guest House, KTR said whether the report is favourable towards a separate state or not, the Telangana agitation will continue until the dream of formation of a separate state is realized.

If the Commission Report is favourably inclined towards bifurcation, the names of the Commission’s members would be etched in golden letters in the history books of Telangana state, KTR promised.

CPM leader Raghavulu hoped that the Report would come in favour of keeping Andhra Pradesh integrated. He said that the state would be developed rapidly if it remains integrated.

CPI leader K Narayana expressed his hope that the Report favours a separate Telangana state. He said that it is time the issue was resolved and peace prevails in the divided state. With the establishment of peace, the divided state would progress in all fields, Mr Narayana hoped.

Praja Rajyam Party leader C Ramachandraiah echoed his party’s known stance that an integrated Andhra Pradesh would be in the best interests of its populace. He added that even if the report recommended bifurcation, his party would hail this view.

Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas also met the Commission members.
